Thanks Adam blah 06-20-2002, 12:26 PM I was with Dim8 for a few days last year. They never got my subdomains up and running, and since most of my traffic went to a subdomain, I had to run. sman 06-20-2002, 01:55 PM I'm with GearHost (http://www.gearhost.com) and couldn't be happier. Service is great, features are awesome and their control panel rules! My speed is VERY fast as well. Sorry don't know about the others... arob0921 06-20-2002, 02:24 PM Either GearHost or DomiNET...this is kinda out of bounds, but does anyone use a mac in here? If so, whats the best ftp program for it? Thanks Adam RyanK 06-20-2002, 02:29 PM I don't own a mac but I've heard that Fetch is good from some mac clients of ours. It's located at http://fetchsoftworks.com/. quam 06-30-2002, 01:23 AM I compared several hosts and selected Dominet a couple of months ago, and I have not had any problems and I've been happy with their service. The uptime (well, I guess they have always been up since I've had an account --- so I guess that doesn't say too much) and speed have been better than the performance I received with previous hosts. vipe 06-30-2002, 01:45 AM Originally posted by arob0921 Either GearHost or DomiNET...this is kinda out of bounds, but does anyone use a mac in here? If so, whats the best ftp program for it? Thanks Adam I use RBrowser and Transmit X. Here's a list of a bunch of FTP apps. For Mac OS X: http://www.versiontracker.com/mp/new_search.m?productDB=mac&mode=Quick&OS_Filter=MacOSX&search=FTP For Mac OS: http://www.versiontracker.com/mp/new_search.m?productDB=mac&mode=Quick&OS_Filter=MacOS&search=FTP Hope that helps! May I inquire what domain ? jiminsd 06-30-2002, 08:05 PM Totally independant from the post above... I have 3 sites with Dim8 and they have been terrific on support. They seem like they can't do enough to help when I've had a problem. So... I'm a little confused by the earlier negative post. Sure doesn't sound like the company that I've been doing business with. |
