Today they decided to change the interface that controls how I receive my calls. With this upgrade, all my forwarding numbers were erased and I completely stopped receiving calls. They all went to voicemail instead. It's not that big of a deal for me since I only missed about fifteen calls, but for someone who relies on them for a bigger operation, I feel for you.

Yikes, I will have to check my account for this! It's too bad to hear that something like this happened (without warning?). For the most part RingCentral has been pretty good, offering reliable customer service (at least from what I have found).
EDIT:
I just checked my account and I see all of the forwarding numbers still intact, are you sure the upgrade was the cause of this issue? Have you tried calling up their support for an explanation or any further help?

I agree with Adakist. This is a bit interesting to hear this about them as I also use their services! I received several notifications via e-mail and one automated notification via telephone before the upgrade took place. When the upgrade did take place however, none of my numbers or anything of that nature was erased. I'd suggest giving them a call at 1-888-574-5290 or by submitting a ticket through your interface.
I also recently logged into my account and noticed that the interface of the control panel nor the call controler interface had been changed in any large way. The only thing that I noticed different was more news added to the news frame within the control panel.

Must have just been limited to a few accounts that were setup in a similar manner to mine. The RingCentral tech told me that the problem was caused by the upgrade and that another customer had called to report it ten minutes before me. Still kind of annoying, but at least it didn't happen to everyone.

Sorry to hear that. << removed >> Since it is just a database, I wonder how / why it happened to you? Unless of course they did not import all the records or have other databases?
