I need to purchase a SSL certificate for my server. However I have 2 of them. Do I need to purchase 2 SSL certs or can I just get one?

Also, can you guys recommend a good cheap place to get a SSL cert? I was quoted $125.

Well if you have 2 certs why do you need another one? Also a good place to get a ssl cert is rackshack.

What I meant was, I have 2 servers that both need SSL certs for my hosted clients.

I just checked out Thawte's website and they sell wildcard certs. Is this the recommended way? This way I only need one instead of 2.

Wildcard certs are generally much more expensive than individual certs, and may only wildcard the "server" portion of the URI - i e server.domain.tld.

Be sure you are buying what you think you are buying...

you should search for quickssl from geotrust - that usually costs from $49 up to $100.

Yes, you will need two certs - one cert per server, unless you want to order a 'wildcard' certificate that will cost you over $400 per year.

I use InstantSSL.

Altough they spammed some people here :bawling: :bawling: , I'm really happy with their certificate :)
