Hi, I've being trying to run the apache pkg from the cobalt-aid.sourceforge.net site but I can not get it to work, it just seems to time out, so I have uploaded it to the server. How do you run it with ssh comandline?
Thanks

If you upload it to the home/packages folder you should be able to load via the GUI - though as it's Apache, that might not work..

Found the command line version for you:
usr/local/sbin/cobalt_upgrade packagename
Thanks ! is it normal that when I launch it via command line it says it's already installed but it does not show in the installed pkg program list?
I've installed the php4.1.2 package on the cobalt-aid site and it said I had to install a newer version of apache first.

Hmmm... Where are you looking? In the control panel or SSH?
Is it a RAQ3 or RAQ4?
Well it's a raq 3, I was looking in the CP. Well I went ahead and reinstalled it and I think that I have now mucked up part of apache.
I rearly don't understand :
The Cobalt CP at IP/admin does not work anymore but I have set up a site on it and it works but none of the extensions /admin or /siteadmin work anymore ! But openwebmail works for this domain, php still does not work. Any idea how I could get the cobalt CP up again?
I don't want to do a restore so I've got to work on it any try any possible solutions before this :)
Please help !
This is what I got :
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n] y
error: package mod_perl is not installed

Starting admin web server: Error: Apache has not been designed to serve pa

will allow any local user to read any file on the system.
If you still desire to serve pages as root then
add -DBIG_SECURITY_HOLE to the EXTRA_CFLAGS line in your
src/Configuration file and rebuild the server. It is
strongly suggested that you instead modify the User
directive in your httpd.conf file to list a non-root
user.

There are two apache's running.
One at port 80 -> webserver 4 clients
One at port 81 -> Admin Control Panels
Try to restart the one on port 81
Hi I did this :
cd /sbin
reboot
It rebooted the server. but still no good !
How do you restart apahe on port 81 ?
I guess that it is the apache on port 81 that is mucked up !
ANy ideas ?

try
/etc/admserv/conf/httpd restart
When I do this (/etc/admserv/conf/httpd restart)
It says :
Site site2 has invalid certificate: 4999 Certificate files do not exist.
I think that this is why it is not starting... It doesn't make sence I didn't make a cert for any of the sites, what should I do?
