Peter DomiNET.net 06-19-2002, 03:26 PM Right, but its very rare that your dsl go down the same day/hour than your server marksy 06-19-2002, 03:26 PM Why use a sep. notebook? Just leave your machine on. top takes up mem and processor, you'd be better off getting a monitoring service. ckpeter 06-19-2002, 03:31 PM Originally posted by dominet Right, but its very rare that your dsl go down the same day/hour than your server That depends on the DSL provider. Like I said, the keyword here is "accurately". Theres plenty of tools to do this more accurately, some that come to mind are whats up, nagios, netsaint, etc. While you're at it, get one for WHT, it seems to be down a lot recently (only for short little spurts, but almost daily when im on, come back 5 minutes later and its fine) :D. |
