I need webhosting, and i'm a HS student with no income, so i can't afford much. I don't need much either..

Heres what i need:
2-5Mb space
i get less that 25 hits a day
CGI
FTP
no ads
------
i hate ad's on the free providers, so i figured i'd go pay, but so far i cannot find anything cheap enough, cause i don't need alot of stuff.

I am going to buy my own domain soon, so i need a good reliable host.

http://www.pair.com would suit your needs, I think.

they say they dont support CGI for the basic hosting :(

oops. Sorry, didn't know that. How about jaguarpc.com? If you can pay $10, you can get a special package . I have no idea how long it will last though or how long it has been that way.

I think you will find http://www.1dollarhosting.com irresistable.

i dont know if you knew, but they charge a 50.00 setup fee, and you must prepay...

I am sure that if you look at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=3053 you will find a host that meets your needs.

And wander through the Advertsing Forum in general, scouting for inexpensive deals. I've seen some posted errr... maybe within the past few weeks.

all the goodies and no setup fee.. last time I checked their basic plan started at 45$ a year.

i talked to a guy im gonna get:
10mb
5pop3 mail accounts
cgi
ftp
and some other stuff
for 5.00 a month, also im getting a domain registered for 20.00 a year thru him.
no setup fee, and its gonna be billed monthly, instead of prepay

I'd still suggest blueboxinternet, if you host with them they give you domain(s) for just 10$ a year.

http://www.wzpro.com/ has a $36 a year package - 100MB, ftp and cgi.
