Hi all,

Could anyone explain what someone means when they say they run a hardened secure kernel? Have they bought a special distro of linux? or are all kernel's hardened anyway? or have they simply turned something on?

TIA,
Infinite

Greetings:

There are secure versions of Linux just like there is an enterprise version of Apache.

See http://www.linux-sec.net/ for more information on system hardening.

Thank you.
