Hi

I am looking to move my domain name to a different domain host. But what I require is the functionality that you can get at EasySpace.com.

I need to be able to configure the Domain Name Servers and make IP and Zone record changes to the MX, CNAME, A and NS records of the domain. All via a control panel interface.

Yes, EasySpace.com does all this. But are there other options out there? Cheaper? Better?

I am also looking for a reliable email host which I can keep separate from my ISP connection. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Get a reseller type account with WHM/CPanel access. You can do all that in the WHM, provided your host has this part activated for you.

Most hosts have SMTP email. Just route your outgoing mail through mail.yourdomain.com etc...

For hosts who can offer you WHM/Cpanel, check out - Splashhost.com - MCHost.com - Voxtreme.com.

Whilst I agree with Aussie Bobs comments, here's another option to consider if you want to handle your own DNS but don't want to purchase a reseller account:

Signup for an account with a webhost. Make sure this account has it's own dedicated IP address. Then signup with a free DNS provider such as mydomain.com (http://www.mydomain.com). The service offered by companies like mydomain.com allows webmasters to control their own DNS. Naturally you will need to point your domain name to the correct nameservers the free DNS provider provides you.

One final note: If you intend to point more than one domain name to your site, it may be wise to first check with your webhost, as some hosts do not allow this.
