I have domains with

registerfly (http://registerfly.com) and namecheap (http://namecheap.com) - both are very good.

I have had bad experience with godaddy (http://godaddy.com).

Do you want to buy existing domains or to register new domains?

Please use 'search' button. You'll find it at upper right corner of the site. This kind of threads are appearing here at least once per week.

Also, please define VERY PRECISELY what requirement your 'best place' must meet. Thank you.

You can choose one of namecheap, godaddy or registerfly.

You can choose one of namecheap, godaddy or registerfly.

You're advised AGAINST using GoDaddy and *especcially* RegisterFly. Search these forums for some true horror stories concerning those two companies.

You've made a good choice already. Stop second guessing yourself. It'll only lead to more stress and hair loss :)

I like 1&1. They have good suggestion tools and can offer a variety of domain types. The're price is usually very competitive. Also, you might try ipowerweb.
I heard that Hostmoster have a domain sale for $2.5.

I cover this topic in my site, if you wish.

I am sorry, It was Dot5 that has the $2.5 domain sale.

Anyway, I usually choose a domain provider by the strength of their Domain Suggest tool. (iPowerweb is really good)
