Valera Haze 06-17-2002, 07:46 PM We have been using perldesk ( perldesk.com ) and love it. Our clients also love it, and we haven't had any problems at all. Its great! Mdot 06-17-2002, 07:48 PM http://perldesk.com jimb 06-17-2002, 09:02 PM I have to agree with the majority, perldesk is probably one of the best. From the client, tech, and admin point of view, it is all good. WonderDesk is another cool one. Jim Incognito 06-17-2002, 09:48 PM I think the best value is perldesk. In my opinion, the best desk (without consideration for price) is deskpro. However, there are many excellent desks at various pricing levels. rockergrrl 06-17-2002, 11:50 PM DeskPro -- http://www.deskpro.com I've tried them all (no, really, I have), and DeskPro is the best! (IMHO) AussieHosts 06-18-2002, 01:08 AM http://www.phpsupportdesk.com is well worth a look. Regards Gary FDrive 06-18-2002, 01:27 AM I can vouch for perldesk as well. ScottD 06-18-2002, 01:29 AM The best? Remedy. The best value, I agree that it must be PerlDesk. Servstra-Sales 06-18-2002, 05:46 AM I think this "what is the best ticket system" has been asked 100 times over. You will find some people love PerlDesk, others prefer WonderDesk, whilst some people like myself enjoy Ticketsmith. There are plenty of ticket systems out there, the challenge is to find the one that best suits your needs and budget. Good luck. RotoHost 06-18-2002, 01:52 PM We've been using PerlDesk and it's been great so far. It does a great job, especially considering the price :) Raiak 06-18-2002, 05:53 PM Why be different! I have to agree, Perldesk. NixHosting 06-18-2002, 06:55 PM PerlDesk here also. Totally customizable via one template. I love it and once the company budget is intact I will be donating to the makers. Rochen 06-18-2002, 07:25 PM We are using PerlDesk with our own custom script to add users when they signup. So far, so good. Very nice considering it is free :) StarGate 06-19-2002, 11:58 AM Another vote for PerlDesk. We use it and we are satisfied. The fact that it is free is secondary, it is just a really good HelpDesk :) ZeonHost 06-19-2002, 06:41 PM Kayako eSupport http://www.kayako.com No problems so far, support has been great from the developers. Maniac 06-20-2002, 04:45 AM For the price?...PerlDesk. Zach 06-20-2002, 11:50 AM Simple PerlDesk Zach ClusterMania 06-23-2002, 08:55 AM http://www.icommunicate.net/webProduct/pricing.asp Anyone try this? Looks nice JSpired 06-23-2002, 05:10 PM I agree with Hostworkz.com, it's really a personal preference decision. Try a few out and see what works best for you. Afterall, you know best what features your company needs. While I'm here though, I'll throw in my vote for Perl Desk.:D NewMerchant 06-24-2002, 02:20 AM I really like Chris Padfields DeskPro (http://www.deskpro.com). It's real nice and the Deskpro 2 version will have even more options. This proggie is really neat. Completely template driven and great for site integration. It has my vote hands down. Chris is a great guy too. He helps anyway he can. My second choice would most likely be PerlDesk. The price is certainly good. unilay 06-26-2002, 12:49 PM Perldesk is ok but can be too limited in terms of customizatin. Templates are ok. Todd 06-27-2002, 09:25 AM Jim already mentioned it and Hostworkz.com hit it dead on but I'll also toss my two cents in for WonderDesk. Apart from the ticket system the two best features for us would be the FAQ and server side authentication. We use normal password protection for our support site and rather then using its own authentication system it uses the username they are already authenticated with. Meaning one less login for the customer, one less password to remember, and most importantly its seamless. It worked out great for us but like Hostworkz.com said you really just have to evaluate the different help desks and pick the best one for your needs. http://www.helpdesks.com http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Software/Help_Desk/?tc=1 http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Business_to_Business/Corporate_Services/Customer_Service/Software/Help_Desk/ Have fun. :) |
