Hey all, i have a RAQ4
I have created a nameserver:
ns1.funshed.com and pointed it to my home ip.

I have setup firewall rules: (Please Check)

Ip Is correct.

Am I missing anything?

I need ftp/http/dns/email/ssh all working. Any any other service the RAQ4 requires to run with these.

Im new to this.
Thanks in advance.

your isp may block port 80

Ill send an mail, but i dont think their will be a problem.
Pluss on firewall i created it on port 81. Since port 80 is used for remote router config.

Will that be a problem?

Apache runs on port 80, maybe you can forward every port you want to use to the local address that the cobalt is on? ( A way is to allow all ports to enter the cobalt's IP and see if it works then slowly block or do configurations. That way you will know if it works or not )

Try accessing it via your local IP address, if it works then its your router's problem.

Inbound Services:
Telnet, HTTPS, HTTP, FTP, DNS and ALL.
Have all been granted to my LAN SERVER IP.
-------------
I have also removed :80 from router, and pointed that to the server. all ports are correct.

Close down telnet (23) and install OpenSSH.
Telnet is very insecure and should be banned.

Is your port 80 blocked by your ISP?

Port 80 is not blocked by ISP.
I have now closed telnet, although not installed OpenSSH, wait until site is up before going in that much detail.
------------

So the firewall is all setup. My ISP has created ns1.funshed.com and pointed that to my ip, then parked funshed.com on its own namserver.

Do i need to create some kind of record on the server for that Nameserver?
What about a record for the hostname raq.funshed.com ?

I have not added anything like that yet.
p.s. running raq4
