We are looking to offer web page building functionality to our user base - trying to build a niche community site. Was wondering if anyone knew of such tools?

What kind of server are you hosted on? Linux Windows what control panel Cpanel, Plesk etc..

If you answer those question we can make better suggestions.

You also may want to check out Hostopia, they have some pretty good products for the end-user. If indeed you are looking to offer Site builders to your customers. Hostopia is a bit expensive, but HF uses some of their products which are a wonderful benefit and not to mention he service and support from them is excellent.

There's 100's of website building software packages out there, frankly the resulting site nearly always looks like it was done by (you guessed it) a website building package

unfortunately, this is true. However, if a customer is just looking for a simple and cheap way to get online with a web presence then a page builder is more then perfect. Besides every company starts somewhere.

For flexibility, template options, price and stability, I would recommend SohoLaunch (http://www.soholaunch.com). I think the SohoLaunch guys have a real grip on their market and their product reflects that.

Try sitebuilder by swsoft, its a great easy to use piece of kit.
