I have a client who hosts on an IIS server that we only have FTP access to. I'm sure we can get a MSSQL database but at the present I am not sure.

The server does not support Apache/PHP/MySQL.

We are looking to develop a blog on the server and need to know what recommended software packages (hopefully those that are pretty customizable) are available for IIS servers. Unfortunately, WordPress requires MySQL/PHP or else I'd have gone straight for that.

Does anyone have recommendations of good applications (commonly used?!) and/or installation and maintenance experience? I'm only a Linux blog admin girl thus far. ;)
