There are a lot of solid billing software packages in the market for Web hosts these days. ClientExec, Lpanel, ModernBill, WHMAP just to name a few. In terms of a payment gateway that is compatible with them, Authorize.Net may be an excellent choice for you. Last but not least, you'll also need a merchant processor who can establish a merchant account for you (along with the gateway setup) so that you can be up and running per the above outline. This is assuming, of course, that you are a U.S. merchant. If you are an international merchant, the gateway and processing solution may need to be different. 2Checkout, PayPal, WorldPay - these are a few options that come to mind in that regard although there are a host of others. I have PayPal, but I don't know how it compares to the other solutions. Might I need to have more than one to service both foreign and domestic efficiently? I would like my own business name on their statement too. That would be number one to avoid dealing with chargebacks. In addition, any customer located anywhere in the world could purchase services from you via their credit card - Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover.
