Hello,

I have registered a new domain name http://www.debt-consolidation-consulting.com through http://www.domainsarefree.com almost 2 weeks ago.

When the domain was still parked at domainsarefree.com I could access their parked page. However since I changed the nameservers and pointed them to http://www.servage.net it is as if it disappeared off the internet.

Whenever I type in http://www.debt-consolidation-consulting.com I get the following:

-------------------
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.debt-consolidation-consulting.com/

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for www.debt-consolidation-consulting.com
The dnsserver returned:

No Address records
This means that:

The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct
-------------------
It has now been more than a full 7 days and still I cannot see this domain. I have been told it takes up to 72 hours for this to happen, however it is now way more than that. The WHOIS database shows that the domain is pointing to ns1.servage.net & ns2.servage.net but it is not showing up.

Can anybody tell me what the problem is and what I can do?

Thanks for your help

Oceanworld is correct, a dig shows that ns1.servage.com has an A record for that domain, but returns an empty CNAME result for a www entry on that same domain.

If your control panel provides access to DNS records you can correct this by adding an A record for www and point it to the same IP, or edit the existing CNAME record and point it at the domain by itself. (remember to add a . at the end of the domain.)

Otherwise, contact your host and request they correct the www entry in the dns record for your new domain name. This would be at servage, not at domainsarefree.
