Hello

i have a domain on purchased from yahoo and i will move to somewhere else. if i transfer domain on same dns in both providers will i see any any downtime?

it is very important domain

any idea?

Could you perhaps clarify what you intend to do? Will you also move the location of the website it points to?

Domain transfers do not affect site availability. Just make sure that if there is a place asking if you want to keep the current nameservers, you check yes.

I'm assuming by:
if i transfer domain on same dns in both providers will i see any any downtime?
the poster means the same nameservers. (i.e. only changing registrars)

As pointed above - domain inter-registrar transfer by itself does not cause ANY service downtime.

I guess you're right. I just wanted to make sure he didn't receive bad advice based on a simple misunderstanding, as I wasn't 100% sure what he meant.
