View Full Version : Shopping Cart Suggestions
babychi 10-07-2006, 02:25 PM Hello!
I am looking for a shopping cart that I can limit a certain amount of sales for certain items, since when they're gone... they're gone. I'm having a hard time finding one that will let me do that. I want to just accept paypal, so the paypal buttons would be fine if they allowed only a certain amount of sales per item. Or would I just be better off having someone modify a cart for me?
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
Are you looking for an Open Source Cart? Unless I misunderstand your question I believe all carts have this capability. For each item you add to the cart you can also configure how many are available. And the cart will not allow more than the number you specify to be sold. If this is what you want then osCommerce, ZenCart, CubeCart are a few of the open source (free) carts that will do this. :peace:

I was about to say the same. Babychi, does this solve your problem? Do any of these work for you?
HackNo-Alex 10-08-2006, 12:26 PM I have used ZenCart before, I like that one the best.
alex-developer 10-08-2006, 04:29 PM I have used osCommerce and ZenCart, both of them easy to use and install.
8bucksamonth 10-08-2006, 04:45 PM I vote for oscommerce, too. It's very powerful and has the ability to limit inventory. I suggest you try one of the loaded versions like over at creloaded.com. It has several plugins built right in so you won't have to install those later.
babychi 10-08-2006, 05:32 PM They allow the ability to only accept paypal?
Thanks everyone, I'll look into them.
WebFire 10-11-2006, 12:59 PM I recommend Digishop by SumEffect. It does exactly what you need.

No, you can install open source mods and shopping cart will support other merchants. :agree:
e_a_g_l_e_p_i 01-02-2007, 02:02 PM I highly recommend Avactis Shopping Cart
ecartguy 01-04-2007, 12:21 PM I've tried vswipecart.com they seem to be easy to use
thebizservices 01-09-2007, 03:48 PM Hi,
My suggestion would be oscommerce. There's a huge open source community that have contributed tons of addons.
