Hello!

I am integrating enom api with a client's web hosting site. I only need to integrate domain registration. The problem I am having is with name servers. I could not find a forum on enom so I am putting it here.

If I provide nameservers through NSx field as specified by the API, it reports validation error, missing nameservers. On the other hand if I use UseDNS field with 'ours' as the value, it uses eNom dns servers in the provided fields. Using 'default' for UseDNS simply tells it to use eNom servers.

I have changed default dns servers on both resellet test account and main account. Any help on the matter will be highly appreciated.

Regards
Nauman

Additionally, eNom seems to be deducting $15 from the account balance with them. Is that normal? Shouldn't it be charging $9.95 assuming its the lowest level reseller account? Or do we need to change pricing somewhere?

The fee dedecuted should be the price of that registration in your account. If you have an $8.95 reseller account and order a .com 1 year regsitration, then $8.95 will be deducted. Are you sure you have the registration period set to 1 year?

As for the nameservers, are they registered for the TLD you are buying? A .com nameserver is automatically registered in the .com/.net zone, but needs to be registered in the .org zone for .org API registrations.

eNOm tech support can register your nameservers in all zones for you.

Thanx for your response.

Yes the period is certainly 1 year. I explicitely send it through API. In any case, $15 doesnt make any sense. The amount is exact and cant account for even with multiple years. Although I am communicating with testing server right now but it should be same as live one. But this I will resolve later on.

I thought mentioning the name servers on the website would register them ok. What is the web interface for if support has to be contacted. In any case, thanx for the help, I didnt know of this.

The resellertest server deducts $15. When you go live and put it on the real one, the amount will be whatever your reseller account allows as the lowest.

Oh, you didnt say anything about being in the test environment before. Go to resellertest.enom.com > Home > pricing. That will be the amount deducted.

As for the nameservers, register them in teh test environment first.

Also, check out eNOm's help articles about the API, they'll be a good resource.
