Hi Guys...i have a problem... :(

I want to transfer my domain on the new server at liquidweb.com.....
I received a letter from Network Solutions about my dns change authorization....following the instructions i replied to the email but nothing has happened for 10 days....after this time i got a new email from them about the same authorization....i replied as i did the first time but nothing is happening....
Now i was wondering: i saw that Network Solutions sent that email also to the hosting company where my dns are pointed...is it possible that they need also the authorization from them to transfer my domain?
I don't think so...cause they are onlt the technical contact...and i'm both administrative and billing contact....

Please help me !!! :( :( :(

I do not think Network Solutions is sending any mail to the host. We have several customers who have been trying to get their DNS updated with NSI over the last month without success. We are trying to get the DNS updated for a customer who we are the admin and tech contacts (the customer did not have an Internet mail account when he signed up), but the update has not taken place for two weeks!

Best regards,
Frank Rietta

Here is the best way to deal with Netsol.

Make admin, tech and contact address same and make changes with the E-mail. Netsol is not that bad. I have been using them for almost 3 years now. Of course, due to the price, I have moved all of my domains expect one just to keep myself up to date with Netsol.

If you can't really do it, I can do it for you.

Best thing in the world you can do with NetSol is set your NIC handle/domain to use CRYPT-PW authentication, versus the archaic MAIL-FROM. This way you can send the changes from anywhere and have them accepted, as long as you don't forget the password. Has saved us TONS of hassles.

Can`t you just change the dns through the control panel? Or is it ordered through your host just like I did. I didn`t understand much of the e-mail they sent me but I replied with what I knew and got a automated response (just what I needed). I`m planning on getting homepagenames.com to get me out of that dirt.
Anyway, have a nice hosting time with Liquidweb! I know you`ve made a realy good choice!

-then you can change it through their site. But if you use the MAIL-FROM auth, it can be a painful process of forms being mailed to you and back to them. It isn't usually painful, but some people have problems with this, and I'm not all that surprised.

PLAN B: Transfer name to cheaper, better registrar. Highly recomended since you'll want to do this eventually anyhow.
