my website is at http://shashinki.com

1. I can access the site at home
2. I can access the site at my university yesterday MORNING
3. I can't access the site at my university since yesterday lunch time
4. I check the status of my domain at my registra, and it shows that my site domain is working fine with IP address correct

5. I key in the IP address of my site directly onto the browser, it can show the content but not the JPEG photo. Why? I thought if using IP address directly, it should show up perfectly?

I have my site moved to a new server for nearly 10 days now...and many still can't access it from office :(

I ran your site through DNS Report (http://dnsreport.com) (http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=shashinki.com) and it seems you have a few problems to work out. Check the report out, do a bit of googling, and see whats going on. Make sure both your nameservers are registered with your domain name registrar, and make sure your DNS records are setup right. You may want to look at some of the Warns on DNS Report too.

Good luck,
Alex

I am using dedicated server and only having one main site on it...so it should be very fast right? Hosted at Savvis Data Center.

Or is there some mis-configuration that I did that make it slow?

it appears ok to me speed wise, the first time i went to your site there was a bit of a delay which i presume was related to my IPS's DNS not having the records for your domain

i cleared my cachce and your site loaded instantly for me (and im on slow aussie broadband lol)

so anyhow best i can for me the first time it was a bit slow loading your site due to the fact that my ISP's DNS had to go out and get the records for your domain

Thanks ethix :)

Another question: I still have a red warning on Open DNS servers

Should I CLOSE DNS servers?

Yes, I am running cpanel. Should I close the DNS server? I checked around and all those big sites seems to have use close DNS server...

Thanks.

One more question: I notice that http://shashinki.com is working fine but I can't load up http://www.shashinki.com. I can load up both at home, and my cname is already set correctly I supposed.

Should I just wait?

Thanks :)

I guess I am done for the time-being. Really learnt a lot these few days after getting an unmanaged dedicated server for the first time. First time learnt SSH...WHM...NS...etc.

Once again, many thanks for all the helps... :)

sorry...I can't access or load up my website again now... :(

both with www or without www are not loaded up.

http://shashinki.com

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at shashinki.com.

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com (http://www.example.com)

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

what is the problem? I am using the same computer as of this morning...and 15mins ago it is still fine...

it is fine for me in Australia and i also tired going to your site through online proxys and it still loaded fine for me

try useing an online proxy and see how you go

im guessing but i think the problem may lay with your ISP
