View Full Version : Reseller with End User Support
Fastian 10-04-2006, 04:08 PM Hi
It’s been few weeks I am searching & reading all along to find a decent reseller. Along with a normal price, I do need the quality of service. I don’t want to earn quick, but yes at the end of a day, I should get something for all my efforts. If I started a reseller hosting site, that would mean, I will be doing it for almost for ever. So I am trying to get the idea of each & everything before I actually start it. I am looking for something that would be there with the same quality of service for as long as I need them.
So far, I have come up with ResellerZoom.com & Innohosting.com
Both have there own plus & minus. I can you a comparison of them from my point of view.
RZ have a better reputation & perhaps better support but Inno is giving me advantage of low price with “Almost” the same features.
I want to know who else in there with a good name and a decent quality of service that provides Reseller hosting along with end user support????
If you could kindly give a comparison of these two from your own experience, that would help me as well. (At least, it would save me from starting a new thread ;))
MikeR2k6 10-04-2006, 05:15 PM well i actually resell with resellerspanel.com
very easy to use and they provide support for you and your clients.
jerett 10-04-2006, 05:26 PM I would go with ResellerZoom. Great company. Great support. However - ask them about their end-user support option before you signup. I know they were having some issues awhile back with their helpdesk since Cerby updated. They should have that matter resolved by now though.
HostTitan 10-04-2006, 11:26 PM Its also a good idea to clarify how they meter their end-user support because, if there's one thing that's clear in this industry, its that very often things have a cap / finite resources. That's especially applicable when you're talking about end-user support.
kydma 10-05-2006, 05:26 AM Hi
I do also recommend resellerzoom to start.
I va been with them since 1 year and the support is really amazing.
My english is not perfect, with this, they helped me for every thing, even script installation (complicated script errors that ive never seen before).
About thier hosting :
Uptime entire period: 99.87 %
This is from
2005/9/14 to 2006/10/4
(every 15 minutes, every hour, evry day).
Note: monitored with a free service.
But unfortunatly, since yesterday, few servers are down, as from thier news, the proble is a noc one.
As i rmember thats the first timle they have a big problem like this that take all that time.
About the en user support, ask them.
Voila. hope this helps
Fastian 10-05-2006, 10:36 AM I was hoping I would see few more names apart from the th tow I mention in the post.
Come on guys, there must be some other good hosting company that do provide end user support.
W4 Hosting 10-05-2006, 12:17 PM There are few out there, Have you try Google.
kamyana 10-05-2006, 01:41 PM try wht quote. Might be you can get some good deal.
BrettB 10-05-2006, 07:10 PM Are you looking for a specific control panel or features?
The Stealthy One 10-05-2006, 09:13 PM Fastian,
ResellersPanel, BulixHost, and HostCentric Private-label Reseller all offer client support and billing, and forward you the commissions.
ResellersPanel offers the best all-around solution, and might be the first place you'd want to look. It is the easiest to get started with, but offers the most (in the way of features) to make your company look like a professional Web hosting company.
BulixHost would be my second pick of the three. It is much like ResellersPanel, but a little bit more rustic, and run by a smaller company. For instance, end-user support is provided, but it's by ticket only - no livechat, phone, or email, all 3 of which RSP offers.
HostCentric's program is Ok, but there is a $99 setup fee, and it offers almost no customization or control over how things look/work.
I don't know of any others, other than the three I've just mentioned. I recommend checking all three of them out, to see which one will best meet your own individual needs - my needs/impressions are different than yours, I am sure.
Fastian 10-06-2006, 01:21 AM @adakist
Currently I am looking for WHM/CPanel reseller package.
@GlobalWebDan
Thanks a lot for pointing out these three more providers. I am currently looking at ResellerPanel that seems promising. I am not into there free reseller package but there CPanle reseller seems good.
Let me explain a bit what I am trying to do here.
I asked about other host coz I was thinking that ResellerZoom will be a costly choice for longer term perspective. (If I am going for above 8GB space) I have seen some good response about them here and that’s is almost enough to go for them. How ever, let me derive my thoughts.
With RZ, I will be getting few incentives like “Free SSL Reseller Account” and “Free SEO Reseller Account” which perhaps I will not be using. Their support is good but they said they will not be doing anything other than providing Technical support about there server i.e. no help what’s so ever with setting up the hosting site or helpdesk. (I was wondering if they could provide something that could help in building a more professional looking website, few API’s or scripts as I am not so experience person in this field)
With RP, I may not be getting the above things, but they seem promising in helping to provide the tools that could be used in setting up the site more easily.
About innohosting.com, I send them a mail yesterday but didn’t get a reply yet. I hate that they don’t provide live support to their resellers and also, I m not sure how good they are in providing end user support.
Still looking for your views. It’s difficult to decide which host to go for when you are not that professional. I am trying my best but i do need your expert views,
Kind Regards
The Stealthy One 10-06-2006, 11:08 AM Now, I will alert you to one possible caveat - with the ResellersPanel cPanel program, you must sell two hosting packages under your reseller account before you will receive the Website templates or the eNom account.
Fastian 10-08-2006, 12:24 PM Well, i am again down to the two
ResellerZoom.com or Innohosting.com
I haven’t seen a "Bad" repute about Innohosting.com in this forum, they are not big as RZ but that should not be the criteria to go for a host. Their uptime seems to be 99.9% & they provide almost the same contents with there Reseller plan. The big advantage is of the price if I go for “Enterprise” package with them. While with RZ, I have to give same price even if I go for “Advance Three” that is almost $5/GB/month.
But yes, when it comes to support, RZ is far ahead from Inno. I believe if they could work out to provide Live support for at least resellers and a better response time to end users, they will get many clients.
Any way, would you help me considering either of them ??
What should be the most important aspect to me to select a host b/w them ?

Well, I don't know about the most important aspect...but there is one notable difference between the end-user support. It looks like RZ only offers technical support to end-users, while Inno will also provide sales and billing end-user support. Currently, I have not tried either one, and I don't know if you would need that kind of support, but that may be something for you to consider.
Good luck!
Lpal-Patrick 10-08-2006, 10:09 PM I've been with ResellerZoom up until febuary of this year..and their support was fast, like under 10 minutes fast and had no problems with the server. When i was there they only offered tech support. No billing or sales.
Never used InnoHosting but i've dealt with Chris ( one of the co owners) and he seems like a nice guy.
chicagoaddi 10-08-2006, 10:19 PM Since I need a Ressler Account as well I think I'll go with ResellerZoom as well and I'll keep you informed
kirtan 10-08-2006, 10:43 PM Me too use resellerpanel. Their support is good. as i am new to hositng business, they lead me by step by step instructions and the best thing about them is they didn't sell to end users. ofcourse they have 2 packages to sell. butthey mostly concentrate on resellers unlike other hosting services. :)

ResellerPanel is not an option as they do not provide End user support with their Cpanel reseller hosting.
With RZ, I may get fast tech. support but that will be the only thing I guess. (They do not help in any other thing) Like, I ask them if I want to go for a Helpdesk and they provide support there, how this will work. The answer was "we only provide support through e-mail, helpdesk could work but its up to you how you configure it" and when I said, there may be many resellers who are doing this. If they could just give me a name of any helpdesk they think could work in a better way. The answer was no. It’s your problem not ours.
When I asked how will I able to integrate domain registration part (checking the availability of domain) they said, its your headache as we only provide tech support. Designing is your issue. (I just wanted to know if it’s an API (will they provide some) or I have to find a script)
About their support, that’s just amazingly amazing.
My ticket was answered after 17 minutes which is still not answered with Innohosting even after 14 hours. (I selected Priority: High. Just to check how fast they response)

You do realize that if they handled all those other things you mentioned, for every customer that asked, that quick response time would no longer exist--right? I'd consider keeping their focus on tech support a good thing.
