One of my servers running a large php/mysql forum, peak time can have more than 3000 users online, the loads are very high, normally 6+ when 2500 users online.
The mysql databse is around 1.6G
Sometimes the IO wait suddently jump to 100%, the forum become inaccessable and even make the whole server load go up to hundreds.

The server i'm using

2 x Dual Core Opteron 265 Processors
4G DDR ECC RAM
4 X 250G SATA II RAID10
64bit CentOS 4.4
DirectAdmin
Apache 1.3.37
PHP 4.4.4
MySQL 4.0.26
Eaccelerator 0.9.4

I'm looking for a company that can monitor and optimize the softwares and even the php scripts and mysql database structure.
I'm trying to contact seeksadmin.com, but I'm not sure they can optimize php scripts and mysql database.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Suggestion. :)

Would you consider a fully managed dedicated server provider so they can take care of your server, including this kind of optimization and monitoring that you need?

Regards.

Yes, I would consider a fully managed server, however I need fast speed to asia, I don't seem to find any provider that suit my needs. But please suggest a company.

Thanks

I believe httpme.com would be a choice for you to consider. They provide managed servers and they will be able to help you with the optimization and tweaks you need. Plus their servers are located at L.A. so you'll get pretty nice routes and low latency to Asia.

seems httpme.com has pretty high latency to Asia, I'm getting around 300ms, and currently i'm using rippleweb.com their latency is 200ms.
Other than managed server company, any management company provide the same service?

im not sure if its against the rules of the forums but my company was mentioned so I believe I should make a reply

qserver: We do not i am afraid play with the actual code unless they are simple changes, what we do is change server configuration, recompile mysql, install lighttpd etc. Software methods of lowering load. We can also however set up load balancing and clustering of servers if needed.
