Dan-

I have tried to email, I have tried to call, I have tried everything for the last two months to get you guys to listen to my postion

I know you guys browse this forum, so maybe just maybe you will give me the decency of a response here.

I've been trying to get in touch with you ever since you told me to call back in 1/2 hour two days ago.

At any rate, just wondering what the status in on the refund, and if you would like to speak on the phone, that would be fine as well.

Here's what the problem is:

on 2/11/02 you charged me for my account, and again, for the same month on 2/21/02.

I asked immediately for a refund of the billing 2/21/02, i was told by Isaac that this would be visible on my statement in a few days and that he did in fact process it. Three days later, i contacted Isaac again wondering when this was going to happen. He "forgot" about everything, didnt know who I was, needed to relay the story to him all over again. Oh okay, yes, ill process this ASAP.

Anyway, during the month of March, i experienced over 1 week of downtime. I was told that I wouldnt be charged for this month of hosting. On 3/21/02 I received another bill, dispite what i was told about not being billed again for this month.

At this point, completely furious, i sent an email to you cancelling my account, and received no reply, much like im experiencing right now. Now, I am owed $400 for a refund.

Then the month of April comes up, i cancelled service with you, im waiting on my $600 refund when all of a suddent, ANOTHER bill comes in on 4/19/02. At this point I realized my billing information was never removed and logged in and placed false information in the credit card field.

Now, the month is June, and for 2 months, i have been told time and time again that my $600 refund would be mailed ASAP via overnight mail. What enfuriates me is the fact that I am lied to and lied to, i really cannot stand liars.

What is the status on this $600 check? I would appreciate a reply ASAP, thank you.

Matt

Hehe, story sound familiar.

I joined late februari. Got the week downtime in March. Asked for my account to be cancelled and for a refund from RackVillage (then still kikko). I was told 'we have a strickt no refund policy but you're free to leave'. So I left, waved byebye to the $80 I payed for about 3 days of second rate hosting (that's probably the total amount of uptime I had). I did give them every chance to credit me free hosting for the downtime, but this wasn't done.

In april they tried to charge my credit card again, luckily the charge failed for some reason (still don't know why, might have been devine intervention). All my communication about this was with Isaac (at least when I was able to get in touch with them, which wasn't very often). I would have issued a chargeback, only my bloody bank sent me the papers 1 day after the 30 day period after the transaction wherein they allow chargebacks, so a lot of good that did me.

I guess I do have to thank kikko though, they made me decide to switch to my own dedicated server and I've never been happier. One less middle man to deal with and a lot less hassle.

I wouldn't count on that refund ever arriving, not unless you get a laywer to write a friendly letter including directions to the courtroom that would be used should it be necessary.

Im actually considering that. It really angers me, I have been lied to so many times by those guys.

All I want is what is rightfully mine. I figure i'll give them a one week grace period to turn around and pay me before i have to contact my lawyer. It will not be just for the $600 either.

Companies like this shouldnt exist, they just cause honest people trouble. $600 may not seem like much, but hell, i have big bills to pay also, any money would do fine.

Wow, thanks for sharing. $600 is not exactly pocket change. Horror-story. I sincerely hope you get your refund!

LOL sending a letter off to the CBC now. It was nice of RackVillage to turn the CBC logo 1/8 twist. Very convincing attempt at hiding the origin.

I don't know if the CBC will care or not but suspect it will at least generate a letter from their in house council.

They brose this forum. If they haven't responded to you via email, I'm not sure what makes you think they'll respond here, however this forum isn't a message board for you and them. You will have to contact them via the forum (PM) and settle this issue.
