I recently had one of my domains expire and switched from Registerfly via Enom to their own system. In the process they changed the DNS servers to there own.

dns1.registerfly.com
dns2.registerfly.com
dns3.registerfly.com

When I do a test on check DNS I get the following errors. Can someone please let me know what these are and how to correct them?

CheckDNS.NET checks if all NS have the same version
Master DNS defined by SOA (ns1.mdnsservice.com) was not found among NS records.
All 3 your servers have the same zone version 785913200

CheckDNS.NET is verifying if NS are alive
NS list mismatch: registration authority reports that domain is hosted on the following servers: 'dns1.registerfly.com; dns2.registerfly.com; dns3.registerfly.com', but DNS server dns1.registerfly.com reports domain to be hosted on 'ns2.mdnsservice.com; ns3.mdnsservice.com; ns1.mdnsservice.com'. Please make sure that you configure the same DNS servers in registrar database and on your DNS

My other domains still use the Enom name servers and don't get any errors. Is it possible to switch back to those DNS servers?

Actually, the above explanations are quite clear. Please make sure that you configure the same DNS servers in registrar database and on your DNS - that's it.

I am having the same problem, it is caused by using a CNAME record for their nameservers which forces extra dns queries to get to your records. If you have any luck getting switched back - or having them fix it, let me know! mdcolson at gmail dot com

Does anyone know if "RegFly" still helps on this forum?

I had the same problem. Having made enquiries it seems the cure is to move to another registrar. There doesn't seem to be anything a customer can do to change it.

I'd still like to know why they would do this since surely they will lose lots of customers?

From what ive seen RegFly usually turns up once somone brings a topic to his attention so I dont think he activly monitors the forum (I could easily be wrong)

Send him a PM and he should turn up.

or email support@registerfly.com
with the subject: ATTN: Paul (I dont know if this would still work)
