Make 'em see RED! Great way to go out Scotty B! --JCA Justin vibehosts 06-14-2002, 03:44 PM It sure was a great year for them Red Wings, everyone in Toledo was out partying at sport bars watching them take it all. Studio64 06-14-2002, 03:52 PM The obligitory... Sniff.. Sniff... Go Leafs?! JMD 06-14-2002, 04:00 PM Originally posted by Studio64 The obligitory... Sniff.. Sniff... Go Leafs?! The Leafs would have one the cup if they didn't put Sundien back in. I can't stand that guy what a useless tool and a wast of NINE MILLION DOLLARS. NINE MILLION for that guy. I still haven't got ove that. Anyway sorry I just had to vent a little Thanks:) Studio64 06-14-2002, 04:30 PM I want to continue JMD's hockey rant... <rant> OK Btw... On an artisitic note. The Oilers Calender (http://www.edmontonoilers.com/multimedia/desktop/calendar/1024.jpg) is one of the shoddiest Photoshop jobs I've seen in a long time.... I want to know how much they paid someone to do that... Ugg.. He didn't even round the edges of their team photo... Although the guy who did this 3d rendering of their logo (http://www.edmontonoilers.com/multimedia/desktop/oilers3-1/oil3-1024.jpg) freakin rocked.... I want to eat him to get his power.... What the heck is up with the new expansion teams!!!... OK Lightning, decent team.... OK Hurricanes.... Need I say more.... But, what the hell is a "Blue Jacket", or a freakin "Wild"???? Let me tell you the last time I was scared by a "Wild"?... Can you imagine chanting go "Wild" w/ all 300 fans in the arena?.. </rant> janderfox 06-14-2002, 08:57 PM Here in Detroit, things have been crazy... The Wings definitely deserved the CUP this year... The only question is next year...? Who's gonna coach? --JCA Justin vibehosts 06-14-2002, 09:33 PM When I was watching the game I noticed a guy in a suit on the bench that looked like he could easily be related to Scotty, am I right or completely wrong? janderfox 06-14-2002, 09:47 PM Hahaha I didn't notice him... --JCA Justin vibehosts 06-14-2002, 09:49 PM I'm just really wondering if thats his brother or something and maybe he culd carry on the Wings as coach and lead them to even greater victories. markblair 06-14-2002, 10:24 PM Yes, the Wings did deserve the Cup but honestly any team that gets that far into the playoffs deserves it. It's just a matter of who wants it more, so to speak. I was on vacation this past week but made sure to watch the last two games from the hotel room. As for a replacement for Scotty Bowman, nobody compares but I do believe the best two would be either Dave Lewis or Barry Smith. They've been his assistants for many years and learned a ton from him. It would only make sense, in my opinion, that one of them get the job. As for anyone thinking they bought the championship, any team would love to have their roster. And if buying a championship was the case, the New York Rangers would have won the last five years in a row. Anyway, Congratulations Wings!!! 2002 NHL Stanley Cup Champions vibehosts 06-14-2002, 10:29 PM Well Said Mark!!
