Greetings all. We need to move to a live chat solution that offers a 'dead-man's switch' type feature where the operator will be signed off after a certain period of inactivity (ideally the feature would pop-up an "are you still here?" message first).

We've left our system unattended a couple of times now. Last Friday was the most recent incident (actually, Friday evening seems to be our achilles heel for this ... just a coincidence no doubt :-). I'm really ticked-off because it makes us look totally unprofessional. I'm especially ticked-off because in this particular instance, *I* was the idiot operator.

Anyway, I'm going to be looking at new systems myself but if anyone happens to know offhand of specific systems that have done a good job at implementing this feature, I'd appreciate the info.

Thanks!
Bette

ChatStat.com is a new one coming into the light - you might want to try them.

Thanks Jerett. I looked at ChatStat last week when you mentioned it on wht. I like what I see and plan to deploy it on some sandbox sites we run. The product is still in beta though and we need something that's production quality for our main business site.
