Greetings all. We need to move to a live chat solution that offers a 'dead-man's switch' type feature where the operator will be signed off after a certain period of inactivity (ideally the feature would pop-up an "are you still here?" message first).
We've left our system unattended a couple of times now. Last Friday was the most recent incident (actually, Friday evening seems to be our achilles heel for this ... just a coincidence no doubt :-). I'm really ticked-off because it makes us look totally unprofessional. I'm especially ticked-off because in this particular instance, *I* was the idiot operator.
Anyway, I'm going to be looking at new systems myself but if anyone happens to know offhand of specific systems that have done a good job at implementing this feature, I'd appreciate the info.
Thanks!
Bette
