View Full Version : Client Exec or Account Lab Plus
Webberzone 09-25-2006, 03:34 AM Based on my current budget I'm looking for a billing solution.
Currently both client exec and account lab plus seem promising.
ALP still works out a lot cheaper than CE (which is $5/mo through my host).
1. Is anybody using ALP? What is your feedback on this. Are there any issues with using and configuring?
2. What about CE? What is your experience with this?
Otherwise I do note that WHMCS and MB seem to be highly recommended solutions. Any idea on where I can get discounts on these?
I'm starting out and so don't want to bear too much expenses.
tanfwc 09-25-2006, 04:09 AM You should go for CE. It is the solid software for starting up...once you have the client base, then you migrate to ModernBill.
CE has alot of basic function and controlling account creation and many more...
E.Emile 09-25-2006, 05:15 AM I vote for clientexec
FestiveHosting 09-25-2006, 09:26 AM We've used ClientExec, ModernBill and WHMCS. I'd recommend WHMCS all the way! Development for the software is ongoing and Matt, the owner, does his best to include the features that his customers demand.
jerett 09-25-2006, 10:02 AM My vote would be to go with CE.

MB can import users from CE?

That sounds good. Doesn't CE come with an inbuilt ticketting system?
Is it recommended using it?

I agree. WHMCS seems to be the most professional solution out there to date that I've seen.

I agree, Ubersmith is definitely the more 'corporate' solution out of the bunch...it is very stable and extremely professional.

Oh, you mean just like they "forgot" about php5?
When Ubersmith catches up with the technology that they supposedly rely on, perhaps they'll stand a chance, but until then, not even worth mentioning really.

Yes, it comes with a ticketing system. I started off with Clientexec ...
PogiWeb 09-26-2006, 12:46 AM Clientexec is promising!!!
aushosting 09-26-2006, 01:44 AM btw.Can I put my two bob in and say MB rocks..
Webberzone 09-26-2006, 01:16 PM Actually, it is my budget which is preventing me from WHMCS or MB as of now.
I havent really liked Ubersmith support, so I am not going with them.
