They do have the best prices around and have been growing at an amazing rate (hence the new data center).

I have a server there and they have been great to me..Helped me with the server, upgraded many features of the server as a favor to me for some past work I have done etc.

I highly recommend them :)

Disclaimer I am NOT an employee there, and was not told to post this :)

Those are actually amazing prices... Charles, can you elaborate on how bandwidth is figured? That is, are users throttled at the purchased rate, or do you bill on averages / 95% rule?

Actually in the past weve billed at whats actually used. With these new prices and our new data center they will bill 95% if you want burstable bandwidth or we can cap you at your alloted amount.

so thats $299.99/mo plus $89/mo plus $300 setup?

In detail what does this include???

Rack: Doo-hicky that holds servers. If it is a full rack, you could house 42 RaQs/1Us on it. Plus set up everything ($300), plus bandwidth (in your example 128Kbps).

Unless I'm misunderstanding and the rack charge is more of a per server charge, then please correct me Charles.

As I understand you will not bill by actual usage or average, right?

mkaufman, don't forget 24/7 technical support!!!

The 1st data center I have ever know that actually has a LIVE and friendly person day in and day out that answers the phone when you need help. The problem is always rectified on the spot.

They do *alot* for their clients that you wouldn't expect from a data center.... I'll leave it at that...

I love it!

Actully for the rack charge you get a full rack dedicated to just your servers, it is not per server. If you have just 1 or 2 servers the rack charge would be less as you owuldnt need a full rack.

Charles, I've sent you an email with regards to this ad.

Also, I need to know how many linux boxes will fit on the rack.

You do not bill by actual usage
You do not bill by average
You bill by 95 percentile
You can also put cap on the bandwidth

right?

How much would you charge for that?

Also how much if it happened to be a mid tower?

Could you give us a theoretical pricequote with the 128kbps pricing. (that translates roughly to 40 gigs right?)

Great prices... What are your support rates (for like installing a hard drive, reloading RH, etc.)?

Have you had any problems with tornados? I would think that would be a major issue in Kansas...

The website lists prices, but it's not completely clear on total monthly cost. As I say, could you give us a sample price quote of the specs above I mentioned so that we could see.

Thanks

JKhehe,

Ive lived in Kansas my entire life, and have never even seen a tornado, you of course hear about them all the time on the news, but we only get 1 or 2 a year, and theve never struck Wichita as far as I know. Almost anywhere you go your going to have to deal with natural disasters. So basically the chance of it hitting our building, is like .01% :)

Mysitehost email me directly at charles@dtwebworks.com if you wish a customer quote, I dont want to clutter this thread up.
