They also found the least massive world ever detected around another star, a planet just 40 times as heavy as Earth.

Scientists theorize the extra weight is the result of McDonalds franchises and Coke bottles strewn across the surface.

:D

Very cool...I wanted to be an astronomer when I was a kid (I know its hard to believe that I didn't spend my childhood wishing to be a faceless employee in a cubicle :D). So, events like this are very fascinating to me.

I know what you mean.. I grew up watching Karl Sagan's 'Space' series and used to be facinated by it. Even now I'm hooked the minute I see anything space related on Discovery Channel.

I loved Space!!! That was the best show...all of the cool stuff he shared was fascinating. My wife and I drove out to Milwaukee from Virginia last October for a vacation. On the way out there, I made her listen to Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" on the way out there...I think she would have liked it better if he hadn't done the audio :).

Sorry, James, with our little packet due any day now -- we aren't driving anywhere ;).

I went to New York last week for a job interview, Roseanne insisted on coming...10 hours in a car, over a two day period, with a pregnant woman is not something I ever want to do again :D.
