Check every angle. Any reputable provider would be willing to answer them. For an additional test, send the email to their support@ email. It will probably get moved to sales by the support team, but you get an idea of how fast they are. 2. Get a test IP and test file download to test system speed. Good luck in your search. w00ts!te 09-23-2006, 11:49 PM I like how you think. What are some things I should ask? Nick H 09-23-2006, 11:52 PM I like how you think. What are some things I should ask? From HostingDiscussion.com http://www.hostingdiscussion.com/shared-and-reseller-hosting-special-offers/1891-choose-your-host-carefully-for-users.html - How long have you been in business? - What are the specs for your shared and reseller servers? - What datacenter do you use? - Do you have uptime statistics? - Is my account easily upgradeable? Is there an upgrade fee? - How many people are on your support staff? - Do you have a file I can download to test system speed? - Do you have a money back guarantee? - Do you have an uptime guarantee and if so is it server uptime or network uptime? - Do you perform regular backups or am I responsible for my own backups? - Are there any scripts that you don't allow to run on shared plans? w00ts!te 09-23-2006, 11:56 PM Thanks for these tips Nick H 09-23-2006, 11:57 PM Thanks for these tips No problem -- that's what these forums are made for :) HackNo-Alex 09-24-2006, 08:32 AM $50/year for 20 GB/300 GB Bandwidth I am surprised that a host would give reseller access to a package oversold as much as this. I would maybe expect to pay $50 for 2 months, not a whole year. sgarbus 09-24-2006, 08:35 AM I am surprised that a host would give reseller access to a package oversold as much as this.
