My domain (robspics.com) expired on Sept 20. All day today (Sept 21) I've been trying to renew it on Registerfly. But I keep getting an error message saying "renewal failed".

I tried multiple credit cards so I know that isn't the issue.

I called them and they said it would be fixed within a couple of hours. That was over 15 hours ago!!!


What else can I do? I am so desperate here :(

I think that your domain might be lost for good. RegisterFly are in the *HUGE* process of moving their domains from their eNom reseller account to their ICANN accredited db. So, your renewal is infact a transfer. Since this is already expired domain, transfer of it might be imposible.

Normally, you have a 30 day redemption period where you can renew it. It can't be lost that easily during that period.

REDEMPTION PERIOD:
The registry sets this status when a registrar requests that the domain name be deleted from the registry and the domain has been registered for more than 5 calendar days (if the delete request is received within 5 days of initial domain registration it will instead be deleted immediately). The domain will not be included in the zone. The domain can not be modified or purged; it can only be restored. Any other registrar requests to modify or otherwise update the domain will be rejected. The domain will be held in this status for a maximum of 30 calendar days.

I think RegisterFly is required to renew it, technical difficulties are not an excuse. If it is in their reseller account with eNom, then eNom may be able to take it over for you if you complain to them. Its a longshot, but it may be worth a try.

Way to many issues with RF in the past, have moved everything to GD.
