I am looking for a simple CRM which allows me to do the following:
- create client accounts
- invoice clients - view in browser or export to pdf.
- send projects updates and notes to clients
- client login to view information
- theme it.

optional extras would be:
- the bonus to pay via payal although not required
- enter quotes sent to people so a kind of pre client thingy

I know there are loads on sourceforge and other free sites, too many to choose from so wondered whether anyone has any recommendations.

p.s. i am looking for it to be free but would pay up to $50.

Clientexec does all that you need and more....(and it is on the cheaper end of the software spectrum)
Also, some hosts provide it free with their reseller plans (dotable, for example)
