I have a question for all you audio gurus out there.. I have about 2000 mp3's and when i burn them to cd and I go to play them in my car they all play at different sound levels so I have to mess with the volume everytime the song changes.. Does anyone know of a way to make them burn at the same level.. I download my mp3's in 128 bit format as I was told this is pretty good quality if I want to burn them but I just cant get them to record at the same level? thanks in advance.
p.s. i am using nti cd maker pro..

The only way I can think of involves a lot of extra work-
Convert all the mp3s to wavs, and use a wave editing program to normalize the file. Normalize them all to the same level. convert back to mp3 and burn, or burn directly from wav format.
I know there must be a better way than this, but its all that I can think of.

You're looking for a tool that does "compression". Normalization won't address the problem of differing average volume levels. Compression takes the average volume levels and makes them the same.
I know there are Winamp plugins that do this, and here's (http://faq.arstechnica.com/link.php?i=1635) a great writeup about them, but I'm unsure of any that do exactly what you're looking for.
--Edit--
Oops, I should really proofread better.
