What we mean is, You get 2 free operating system reinstalls per a server. then its 5$ per a reinstall. This is because some users were abusing unlimited free operating system reinstalls

The Via 2000+ processor is closest in performance to a pIII 1.3ghz or so

so can the hardware be upgraded?

Just to be clear: Your line is 100Mbit dedicated till their backbone. The backbone is shared by all unmetered servers.

I'm very impressed with my server by the way. Speeds are good to very good, depending on the time of the day.

This is weird. My server has worked fine for a week now, but since this morning I started hosting some files to test throughput. Right now (Since 2 hours maybe) I seem to have a problem in this area, however I dont wanna jump to conclusions just yet.

Tired about 12 times in 2 days...

I get higher faster downloads on my 10mb port box...anyone getting faster speeds..just wondering if it's just me

last time i tried i had my full speed .. between 350-400kbs

the speeds are incredible within europe,
note these test files were downloaded onto rather busy servers and i in no way represent the companies involved...

I just noticed that my server does not have a swap partition. Is this standard on all boxes or just debian boxes or was this a mistake during my setup? I already had one OOM error that froze my box and I had to get a reboot and since then I have been scared to put too much load on my server and most of it is just straining my other server. :(

I am very pleased with the setup time on my server, i just don't like the way it was setup in french ;) - easily fixed, though.

I know you are not supposed have both dns servers on the same box as the server itself but i dont have another box to use. If i cant get more IPs, where else could i get dns servers from? I need a solution that will work with direct admin.

I ordered one server from them and can say, that speeds are awfull :< Im getting speeds like 10MBit line. And i dont talk about only downloading like from usa or europe. I tried threw 100Mbit ftp sites, torents and etc. So i suggest u, not to buy this sh*t. I understand, that its unmatered, but with that speed, u barely will overcome 2TB/month :<

By all means you could have opened a ticket and we'd have looked into it, but you have to remember, that there are many factors in what type of speed you get to other serves, while our providers offer very good peering, sometimes the ISP's on the other end aren't that great.

On another note, We have many customers who push 50MBPS+ all day long time, If anyone is interested seeing the MRTG's as proof we'll gladly post them.

hm...seems like dedibox is limiting bw if the load is big. All day i barely could get faster than 2MB/s and at night, i managed to get 10MB/s. So its good, only at night :)
