TIA> pcsteve 06-12-2002, 01:06 PM How about 49$ goto http://www.rackshack.net/quickssldetails.asp ARETNA 06-12-2002, 01:11 PM I highly recommend GEOTRUST. As stated above, RACKSHACK is reselling the certificates for them. The service is very quick and doesn't involve length processes such as gathering business documents and sending them to them. Geotrust seems to be selling them at $119, yet RackShack is selling them at $49 because they are a reseller.... Good Luck! Here is some information from the GEOTRUST website: QuickSSL™ Web Server Certificates Exclusive QuickSSL features: • Only $119 for a one-year certificate • A fully automated 10-minute process • Advanced next generation technology • True 128-bit SSL encryption Secure e-commerce in about ten minutes... for less. Thanks... mlovick 06-12-2002, 03:21 PM They have just been reported here for spamming, But they are just $49 and I have used them. http://www.instantssl.com/ Noldar 06-12-2002, 03:41 PM You can get a GeoTrust eBusiness ID SSL Certificate from SSL4Less (http://www.ssl4less.com/) for $89. I've purchased one through them and have had no problems. PulseHost 06-12-2002, 04:12 PM Originally posted by SpiralHost You could take a look at www.freessl.com FreeSSL only valid for 3 months, I think you should go with GeoTrust.. I have heard good about them.. Originally posted by glc650 What's the difference between the eBusiness ID and QuickSSL? Well, QuickSSL is just a web server certificate.. An e-business ID includes online purchase and installation, identity verification seal and full 128-bit encryption. Please correct me if I am wrong.. HostNutt 06-12-2002, 04:22 PM Check out this site. They seem to sell all of their certs for less than the actual providers do: http://www.ebizid.com Hope that helps.. The eBusiness ID does more of a background check to verify you are who you say you are. It comes with a spiffy "True Site" logo and I think it may be slightly more compatible with some older browsers. You won't likely find a better deal than this. Rackshack is selling these certs at below their best available discount from GeoTrust - simply a loss leader. This is a good product, at a price you'll not likely see anwhere else. The Instant SSL cert from Comodo is a $49 product that is gaining market share as well. -t Zach 06-13-2002, 06:00 PM Havent purchased a geotrust ssl through rackshack yet, but I plan to do so. We usually use geotrust certs and have had 0 problems with them so far. Good luck, Zach PlanetDigita 06-15-2002, 06:16 PM Listen to Noldar he knows what he is talking about. :-) hosty 06-24-2002, 06:22 PM Originally posted by SpiralHost You could take a look at www.freessl.com FreeSSL is a site set up by Geotrust to throw sh*t at instantssl. their FreeSSL is only compatible with IE and not comparable to Geotrust or Instantssl. Yet they claim it is comparable. Surely, geotrust sales must be suffering so badly that they have resorted such dirty trick campaign. FreeSSL is exactly same as http://certs.ipsca.com/ who is also *ONLY* compatible with IE and NOT Netscape and cheaper than FreeSSL. There is NO difference between Geotrust and Instantssl apart from one is half price of the other. FreeSSL and http://certs.ipsca.com/ is only useful if you want compatibility with IE only. www.giointernet.com The ISP that is taking UK by storm:stickout |
