I'm running a Raq4 and I'd like to get my server load down some.

During the day, the server is running between 1.5 and 3.5, but I've seen it jump over 6 briefly. This is gettin a little high, isn't it??

The server has 512 ram.

What can I do to help with performance?

Here is what the server is running:

5 Virtual Sites
4 get very low traffic levels and are static pages.

The main site has:

Hubz
DigiChat
vBulletin (averages 30 people online)
PhotoPost
Some custom PHP queries

Thanks!

A load of 1.5 - 3.5 really does not sound that bad. Unless the sites seem slow/sluggish, I'd leave well enough alone ;).

The site is operating fine, but I was just concerned that I was getting too high.

Ok, so things are going up a little more. What load is too high?

What other measurements should I be looking at to make sure I am not overloading the box?

Here is an example of the load today:

Can someone help explain what else I should be monitoring to judge if I am putting too much of a load on this server.

Thanks

What other things can I look at to measure the utilization of the server?

What are the benchmarks for them?
