I doubt this is possible, but I'll ask anyways. Is there a way to do some kind of reverse lookup to find out all the domains that have ever been registered by a specific person or company?

Vito Stan Marsh 09-12-2006, 11:25 AM I think it *could* be possible, once you'll get all (recent and historic) whois databases from all registrars. mbulent 09-12-2006, 11:46 AM Hi Vito; Not that I know of. But actually you can try to get some details from http://www.archive.org/index.php for the domain name. If it was hosted and contact information was on the web. Is there a way to do some kind of reverse lookup to find out all the domains that have ever been registered by a specific person or company?Very difficult and very expensive. Though if the company has had the same nameservers for a few years, then it is a bit easier. Some people have zonefile records going back years. However the historical whois data is more of a problem. Regards...jmcc vito 09-16-2006, 03:09 AM Sorry for the late reply (dang that hit-and-miss email notification :( ). That's what I figured. Just was kinda hoping there was some new reverse whois where I could plug in a person's name and see all the domains owned by that person. However, I'm sure that type of info could lead to some form of abuse. Vito |
