You may or may not be familiar with the attitude of this community towards those who offer *unlimited* features, so I am just going assume you're not, and let you know that you may suffer more harm than good by posting this info.

You look like a good hardworking host, so just search the word 'unlimited' from the top right of this page, and read a few threads...check out the general reaction to others who have done this foolish thing...I'm on your side believe me..heh heh... :) you may want to edit your post...

BTW, I need about 8Gb disk space for a little project of mine....???

Hard drives are relatively cheap. Some people with us are using a few gigs, although the majority don't. We will not shut down a site, nor require additional payment based on bandwidth, size of transfers, or size of files. For this reason, a maximum simultaneous transfers limit is imposed. This is done to prevent a flood of traffic on one site to affect the speed of service enjoyed by other customers. That's the only limitation to the offer.

So (playing Devil's Advocate),

It would be perfectly alright with you if used my $7.50 account as an offsite backup for my 90GB RAID array (the server in our office here), as long as I didn't transfer it up there all at once?

C'mon, there has to be an upper limit. Or are you telling me you would take my $7.50 and be happy even though you would have to purchase new hardware, possibly a new controller, motherboard, etc. Money you couldn't hope to make up at $7.50 a month.

But wait, it gets better. I'll keep filling your hard drives as fast as you buy them because I will tell all my friends about this great offsite backup deal. Next thing you know we're looking at 300-400GB storage. Still at $7.50 a month. Or even better still: I'm now charging $5 a month to my friends for 'unlimited storage' using my account with you, so I'm making decent money selling space on your server while you go out and buy a dozen new hard drives. Granted, it might take me a while to upload, but it's sure cheaper than me buying a new hard drive for my own PC!

See how it can get ridiculous? You leave yourself open to either of the following with the 'unlimited' policy:

1) Someone exploiting you like in my example
or
2)Having to kick someone off of your server in direct contradiction to your own TOS, thereby getting a bad reputation and possibly incurring litigation.

Either way, it's easily fixed: reasonable limits.

Just my $0.02.
