Hi All,

I have got a bit of a problem,

I registered the domain www.xiohost.com with Namecheap and I am now having trouble setting up custom nameservers:

Nameservers below;

Primary Server Hostname:
ns1.xiohost.com
207.207.167.86

Secondary Server Hostname:
ns2.xiohost.com
207.207.167.85

I keep on getting an error message saying they are Invalid and something about contacting the registrar.

Then I tried to transfer the domain to Dotster as I heard they allow custom nameservers. I haven’t received any email confirmations from them nor is the transfer listed in the Accounts section. I have contacted them but still waiting for their reply.

Your nameservers need to be registered first
What i've heard is with namecheap (I'm no clients of their, but I heard that from a customer of mine) , that you need to mail NameCheap with the 2 nameservers + ip's, and they will register it for you.

After that, you'll be able to use the nameservers.
