Hmm, he's telling me to calm down, haha!
Ronnie,
I apologize profusely for this. I had the site designed for me by someone else and I wasn't aware that it so closely mirrored yours. I have suspended the site pending a complete redesign and will contact the individual responsible. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
In the future, might I suggest that you first attempt to contact the individual in question before acting in such a hasty manner. While I can certainly understand your frustration at having your content copied, please understand that it was not intentional and had you contacted me beforehand I would have gladly suspended the site until the situation could be resolved.
Acted in a hasty manner? By not letting him copy our site... How dare I. Life goes on! :D
I would be SO mad if someone took mine. But hehe who wants to steal this design (Horror RPG (http://www.horrorrpg.com) ) ;)
Most people get freaked by my colors;)

I would absolutely hate it if someone stole a design of ours! It would make me so mad!!
BUT, here is why I agree with his comment that you should have at least attempted to contact him first:
I am just launching my second web design/hosting corporation. I recently purchased 5 templates for the 5 different departments. I was always told these were original templates and would NEVER be resold to anyone else. These templates looked like originals, came with the .PSD's and I have never seen sites like that anywhere before.
So, now I launch my new company in a month or so with all the new designs. I am 100% in the dark if these designs have been created by the designer copying an existing site. With millions of web sites out there, how was I to know.
So, you as the original owner of the design, contact my provider and inform them that I am using a stolen design and demand they shut my server off. My provider shuts my server off!
CRAP! All 50 clients I have are now down and calling me to see what the problem is. I don't have a clue.......later find out what it's about, and it takes me 12 hours to convince my provider to turn my server back on.
Meanwhile, I just lost 80% of my business and it's going to be hard to gain more to make me survive. Company fails.....
So, because I didn't check out every single web site every made before I implemented that design, you just caused my new company to fail.
Fair?? I don't think so.
Of course, this is a worst case scenario....I doubt a provider will just shut down a server before attempting to contact the client. But, what if I am away for a week's holidays and no one is checking the regular emails??
Anyway...........enough of my rambling......you get my point. I think you should always take a second to email the owner of the site in question before you take it out of their hands.
Some are innocent, some are not. More likely not......

Thanks for your input, I see what you mean. Of course the server wasn't unplugged, he removed the site even before RackShack sent a copyright warning message... within 30 min of my email no less! :D
And.. you're right, he offered the "someone else designed the site" excuse... All that matters to me is the copy is gone...
Over and out! :D
