I'm basically trying to find the best place aswell, so if you have any pros or cons, I be grateful for them aswell. ;) SoftWareRevue 06-11-2002, 11:20 PM I probably use www.stargateinc.com the most. Nice, easy, full-featured control panel. viGeek 06-12-2002, 12:36 AM Godaddy.com Reliable, $8.95 per domain registration(.net, .com, .org). insiderhosting 06-12-2002, 01:06 AM Do yourself a favor and get an opensrs account. It is well worth the price. -Steven Axel Teflon 06-12-2002, 01:13 AM Originally posted by insiderhosting well i purchase domain names through well myself. :) (We are an opensrs reseller) -Steven  What do you mean? Any chance you could explain that a bit better for me please? insiderhosting 06-12-2002, 01:28 AM simple openSRS is a domain registrar. Opensrs rates are $10 per domain, and you have to fund your account with a minimum of $250, which can be applied to your domain registrations. It is well worth it in my opinion for hosting companies at least. The openSRS system is awesome. -Steven NixHosting 06-12-2002, 02:47 AM gkg.net I'm waiting to get a direct opensrs account. Got some other financial stuff to do before I invest in one. freehtml 06-12-2002, 07:03 AM I had my domains with 1. Joker.com (3 of my domains) 2. Stargate.com (1 domain) 3. 000domain (1 domain) 4. Namecheap.com (1 domain) grandad 06-12-2002, 07:18 AM www.godaddy.com or www.123-reg.co.uk good prices, good control panel. Matlok 06-12-2002, 07:52 AM I use both Registerfly (about 40 domains) , Directi (60) , Dotregistrar (90) and Godaddy (35). I like Godaddy most, especially their controlpanel. Directi has great prices but their current cp is not so nice. I hate Dotregistrars controlpanel, but their prices are nice. Registerfly has a nice controlpanel, but their prices are a little bit high for me. Scott 06-15-2002, 02:36 AM I'm very happy with 000domains and in the process of transfering all my domains to them from dotster and register.com ffeingol 06-15-2002, 03:44 AM I also buy the domains from myself :D. I'm reselling for eNom. Frank alpha 06-15-2002, 04:00 AM used: Dotster RegisterFly StargateInc 000Domains (in that order) everyone was fine except RegisterFly, they were really annoying especially with the slow sales responses and even had trouble transferring domains from them to stargate b/c stargate kept telling me that the 'current registrar' never responded to the transfer request or something. Even after I successfully transferred my domain, they kept sending me mail promoting their services, I emailed them multiple times and even did the 'unsubscribe' thing but they kept on sending me the SPAM. At last, I just blocked all emails from their SPAM department ;) I'm transferring all my domains to 000domains from Stargate as all my domains with stargate get close to being expired since they recently upped their prices - might as go with 000domains. I did transfer to 000domains just today, I didn't receive their 'authorization for transfer' email so emailed 000domain's support, they got back to me within 3 minutes of the email and told me that stargate's whois wasn't working so their system didn't know who the administrator of my domain was... so the guy is sending me a manual authorization email monday. 000domain seems to be a winner in terms of support and speed... mlovick 06-15-2002, 04:22 AM dotregistrar TheOp 06-15-2002, 10:02 AM stargate.com ninji 06-15-2002, 03:04 PM Used stargate for years, there located down the street from a friends house like 20 minutes from my office............ stargate has had one or two SMALL problems but are definatly reliable, and will be there for a long time ;) p.s. CHICAGO ROCKS! iamdave 06-15-2002, 05:07 PM GODADDY ToastyX 06-15-2002, 05:59 PM I use GoDaddy, but one thing I don't like is they won't let you register or transfer two-character domain names. Mar00 06-18-2002, 03:18 PM hi, Be carefull with godaddy. yeaterday i register 5 .info+ 1 .com, +1 .net domain. They charged my CC for a whole sum. .com and .net work today, but .info not. They are available to register on any registrar :( Damn. I lost my client :(. After call they charged back my CC (still not shown on bank(after 12hours)). Mostly nice thing: they say, what we entered not all information :) (Not Possible on their ordering forms), at the same time to the same customer we registered all thease domains, all was submited once, not per domain, all confirmations was received by email. Any minds ? Mario, just Mario |
