Since I feel the need to do my part for the Web Standards Project (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54568), I'm offering free services to anyone who would like a compliant website. I will provide a free layout to an established website.

My services can be used to either recreate your existing layout using completely compliant XHTML (and believe me, it can be done) or a fresh new layout also using compliant XHTML.

The layouts I create will come out looking quite nice in Opera, IE5+ and Mozilla. They will be accessible in everything else, and will not cause any browsers to crash. Non-compliant browsers will have a friendly message encouraging them to view the site using a modern browser. Most importantly, the content will be accessible to everyone including people using screen readers.

In order to keep this manageable, I have a few rules:

1) Must be an established website with a top level domain. I won't do a l33t geocities hosted clan page.
2) I will not make the sites look nice in NS4.x. The content will be accessible to NS4.x, but it will be unformatted.
3) Layout only. I will do content, but not for free.
4) Only 10 sites will be made, contact me fast. It's a first come first served basis.

You can either email me at kurt@mackeybros.com, or PM me (though I tend to forget to check my private messages).

XML is evil and those who code without support for NS 4.x in mind should burn in H*ll :D

XML is BRINGING the Internet back, circa 1994.

I like your www linked site. Vive le webstandards project!

The sooner NS4 is eradicated off the face of the earth the better.

Now really, why would you say that?

XHTML has little to do with XML (XHTML is a well formed XML document, but that's really the only relation).

Lynx rocks! :D

Anyway, the response so far has been great. 8 of the ten have been fulfilled, so hurry up if you want to be one of the last two.
