Hey Guys,

I am looking to upgrade my billing system from 2CO to ModernAuthorizes system (BluePay NOT Authorize.net).

Anyways, I will be using ClientExec (with maxmind for fraud detection) and also bluepay (as stated above).

My question is: Can ClientExec be setup with bluepay so that recurring billing is done automatically (with a cron job) and the client is billed once a month with the credit card on file? I know you can do this with authorize.net gateway and clientexec, but can you do it with BluePay as well?

I just don't want my clients to have to pay their invoice once a month, and have to login, re-enter CC details, etc. I want them to just be billed automatically every 30 days with the credit card on file in ClientExec. Is this setup possible with the BluePay module?

Well - this would involve the card info being on file in 2 locations. The gateway and the billing system. When you get enough recurring transactions bluepay can be rather expensive because they have a per transaction fee unlike other premium gateways.

AuthorizeNets ARB isnt good for hosts because it doesnt let you go back and review or revise the data as easily as other gateways.

If you were to choose moder bill over client exec, pick a better, cheaper merchant account than modern gigabyte and pick a premium gateway like epay, you will cut costs and have more flexibility. The money you will save with the cheaper merchant account, you can put to use on modern bill since it is a little more expensive.

Since we're working with ClientExec, we've noticed that it's quite modular, you can easily hack the preprovided plugins to suit your needs. We modified ours to work with the 2Checkout.com recurring billing system. Works like a charm :-)

I think CE is setup to automatically run invoices and charge - isn't it?

On Authorize.net, yes, it does.
