About an hour ago I got a call from AITCom.Net telling me (the lady) that they read a post and did some research on my site or domain and wanted to offer me colo space. I told them that I doubt they can match the current pricing I got. They did. Long story but the detailed post I did to similar complaint is located here.

They are full of BS and the funniest part is that they run OC-192! Wow... is that fast or what... LMAO

I guess they can't handle my 1U to host with them. I only want to use the 80gig transfer monthly and to only broadcast @ 128bit rate using IceCast or Shoutcast. Bummer.. No can do...

Metafilter has been following a debacle involving alleged domain theft (http://www.textism.com/article/526/) by AIT Domains (http://aitdomains.com/). Very interesting and right in line with what people have been saying here.

hmm...not that I like telemarketers or anything, but plenty of 'respectable' companies seem to be calling my house all the time. Phone Companies. Cable companies...etc...

If they do... do what I do... keep on the phone for 30-40 minutes, than pull the "let me ask my mom" at then end it or hang up... LMAO...

Major phone companies and such have a strict customer service rule that they are no allowed to hang up on you. So what you do pull a foreign accent, talk broken, pretend you are interested and when you hit the 30 minute mark... pull the plug.

I figure, I save about 10-15 other people from being called up and have their time wasted as well. Not only that but they sure flagged the number down not to call again.... LOL

AIT cold-called me several months ago as well. I told them where to stick it.

I have often wondered about maybe asking them to wait a moment while I grab a pen and paper, and then just letting them sit... not picking up the phone again... I wonder how long they would wait for a person to come back before they hung up?

Few weeks before I got hit by Cotennet.Com as well. I ended up not going because I really didn't care how nice their facility were or how their DS3 lines were. I wanted to see some MRTG graphs or see if they are over saturated... I wouldn't mind hosting with them. They do have good pricing but I still want that "huge" burst of speed.

Even though I don't use the bandwidth or hardly use any. If I get bored I would like to just suddenly load shoutcast server and start broadcasting for the heck of it. To show on the map... I would broadcast @ 128kbit and would be able to support at least 100users. So every time someone offers me a package for 'best price' they call it.. I always throw that at them...

Give it few more months... prices should drop again.
