Well it used to be a wonderful company...now it's dieing. One by one their servers are failing and no body is there to attend or fix the problem.

I had left a account there with some of my non-critical sites (lazy bones). Few hours back, I just went to check one of them (wanted to take backup of my site stats) and realized that entire nirvana server at sonataweb is down. Their forum sonataweb.info is unattended. Overall their two servers are dead; pearljam and nirvana. I think pearljam has been hacked and nirvana is all dead...

Feel sorry about current state of affairs...I know cant do much..

Please join me in paying condolence to sonataweb. Amen!

Very interesting thing happened. After seeing that nirvana is down, I called synergyblue and the server was fixed and was up within 20 minutes. However tickets have not been responded to.. i was amazed with the telephonic response

Dont know whats happening, its confusing..

I signed up with SYN Hosting a couple of hours ago and am waiting to be setup. Too bad I didn't jump ship earlier.

Well I signed long time back with budgetreseller and moved some of my critical site. I have taken one more account with duportonline and moved my rest of site. Both of them are amazing host.

Did you tried calling Andy. Open a ticket and then call Andy.

Have you been setup yet?

find out if there support takes as long as setup ;) too bad they dont offer automated setup like most hosts.

Good luck with your new provider :) be sure to write a review at some point.

Not necessarily a bad thing. It prevents fraud signups, spammers, etc..And I would think setting up an account would be mostly a "sales' job, meaning they have to verify the payment, and then send it to the techs.

Oh, yeah. I was setup about 1.5 - 2 hours after I signed up, nameservers setup and all my sites are moved over, up and running.

Not bad for a Sunday morning.

My Wordpress site is still hacked -- on PearlJam -- even after reuploading all the files my site still redirects to some MGMGrandStudios website. No response yet via support ticket

Check at your .htaccess if you don't have some kind of redirector.

If i remember correctly, mgmstudios.org was a dedicated ip customer, so you can blame a botched httpd.conf for that messup.

Andy... I don't know. He says he got 3 new sonataweb servers because 3 dedicated server customers cancelled.

I was laid off 2 months ago. He said he was going to hire me back after one month, but when I asked he said he could only hire me back if the company became profitable again.

At this point, with the giant mess the company is in, I don't really want to return.

I recommend existing customers leave before their data catches on fire.

Maybe they can hire Terry back to help out with the ticketing/server issues. Hopefully things do get stablized as hosts know there are always issues 24/7 small or big and we're always working none stop.

Hope things only go uphill from here.
Take care

Yeah, he's probably done you a huge favor there. Not one of the better company sales, that's for sure.

I'm sure you can find more work in this industry. It's a fluid industry. :)

If things are that bad (unprofitable) maybe they are looking for someone to bail them out :)

A couple of friends of mine with experience in the industry were interested in buying, After stalling for several weeks, he finally told them that he was going to try and make the company profitable again.

He's taken a great company, and made it into kiddiehost.

Yeah, I got another gig with another company. It's working out pretty well so far.

I'm probably in the minority that never had a problem with sonata for this past year. I couldn't however ignore the doomsday signs and wait for a big issue to come along before i bailed.

Nirvana proved to be a stable server during the time i spent on it and i never filed a ticket with them for one whole year... too bad things had to go down this road.

My sites on sonataweb server (Nirvana) are down.
I hope they aren't lost. Opened a support ticket but I've no hope to get an answer.
Does anybody know if they are working on the issue?

Thank you
Bye!

Don`t want to sound harsh but the alarm bells should have been ringing months ago. There`s been tons of complaints about Sonataweb since Terry sold the company.

There`s loads of reputable hosts out there. Move your sites and be done with it. I`m surprised people are still hosting with Sonataweb.

Back online now, but no answers to my tickets.
We are going to speed up the migration process to the new host.

Better do it fast..Nirvana was the only server that was stable.. rest had major problems..

Just an update I have moved all my sites and cancelled my paypal subscription.. I also got an acknokledgement from Andy as well on my cancellation..

Very soon I will post reviews about the two wonderful hosts that I have found.. they are taking good care of me as of now:stickout:

Goes to show how serious he is for SW. Anyways, there were pointers all around for this, and if anybody is still with SW, then they need to blame themselves.
