I couldn't think of a suitable subject heading for this one, so I hope it gets read. I'm looking for photographs similiar to the ones often displayed @ http://www.thedailydraw.com of people (mostly business people) in full body poses. I saw one a few days ago of a shot from above of a woman looking up from behind her glasses, it looked very corporate - but could I find something similiar..ooh no!!
Anyway, strange request I know - but anyone got a link to these types of images, even if it's a pay per use site.
Lee.

Take a look at this site:
http://www.hemera.com/products/productpo.htm
We use the Photo Objects 50 000 software. Well worth the money and MUCH cheaper than photodisk etc. The business section is just what you're looking for.

I spent a great deal of time looking for royalty free and stock photos.. I was almost to the point where I was going to spend between $50 and $500 per photo, just so I could get some quality photos for my site.
Then I found this thread! I have to say thanks! I purchased both volume 1 and volume 2 of the hemera photo objects set. So far volume two has arrived.. and I'm more than happy with the quality and selection of photos included.
The main reason I'm making this post is because I found what seems like a really good deal on this pack. Most places you will end up spending around $160 - $180 for both volumes. I got them for $141 with shipping from gateway.
If you're looking to get this set here's how you can get the deal I got.
The page for hemera products at gateway is at:
http://www.necxdirect.com/hai/manufacturer_prods.html?key=HEMERA+TECHNOLOGIES&nonce=guest_gate
First off, they are really good prices to start with for both volumes. If you buy both sets you can save an extra $25 by entering the following coupon code while checking out. The code is for $25 off an order of $149 or more..

Just wanted to help others save a few bucks too.. have fun!

use googles image search function, works great, has loads of pics there.
Since google exists, does anyone use any other search engine and why?

Loads of copyright protected images at any rate...
A lot of people are pretty angry at Google for making that facility available as it makes image theft a lot easier than it used to be.

some of us don't like to use images that have copyrights on them without the proper permission to do so.... finding images is one thing.. using them is another.. if i add a photo to my site or better yet a site im creatnig for a client.. and that image has a copyright owned by someone else.. i not only make myself liable, i also make my client liable..
the last thing i want to do when im creating a site for; lets say, an attorneys office, is use a stolen image..

Hmmm...damn I didn't know that about google, thanks for the heads up, I'll be a little more careful when using images from that site. Although it does give you a warning when you actually click on an image from there, something along the lines of "this image may be copywrite".
What about istockphoto.com? They have some nice pics on there.
