Has anyone else received an email from HostingTech Magazine advertising their magazine? I have never even visited their web site before this.

To be fair, it is a targeted spam message and not another "buy viagra online" thing, so I don't really mind personally. But still I wouldn't expect a magazine to send out spam. :rolleyes:

Nope, never even heard of them.

If you are in the US, the magazine is free and it has some good articles.....I suggest you sign up.....even though SPAM is a pain, it is free.....

HostingTech magazine is a great magazine about hosting, I suggest you do signup

Where can i sign up? Is it like an actual paper mag? Or is it email virtual mag lol, my emails already clustered enough.

It is a real magazine they deliver to your home, to sign-up just goto their site do their survey and you get it free

I believe you they are good, and personally I don't have anything against them sending out targeted bulk email to hosting companies (though I would never send out spam myself, not even targeted spam). I'm just slightly surprised that a company would do that is all.

Edit: Maybe not all "spam" should be called spam. What I mean is there is good spam and bad spam.

Example of bad spam:
Mr. Get Rich Quick buys a million email addresses, and sends ads for viagra to all of them.

Example of good spam:
Company Y manually reviews email addresses of hosting companies, and sends them offers for dedicated servers.

I don't know, just an idea. ;)
