Yes... my dedicated server is unreachable. It appears Site5's site is also unreachable. It appears it went down around 12:10 PM EST.

Yes, something is afoot. Not able to reach any site5 box I can think of.

All is clear now with Site5... they had to reload their router which caused a temporary outage for about 10-15 minutes.

Didn't you guys ge the memo that they will be doing network upgrades between June 5th to June 8th? Maybe they were a couple of days late with all of the upgrades:

Dear Valued Site5 Customer,

In an effort to provide our customers with the best possible hosting experience, Site5 will be performing network upgrades on the following dates:

June 5, 2002
June 6, 2002
June 7, 2002

All maintenance will be performed between 1 AM and 5 AM EST. This will ensure that any network outages experienced during these maintenance periods will have a minimal impact on our customers.

Once these upgrades have been completed, our customers should notice increased network access times, in addition to a decreased number of hops on the way to our network. This will ultimately result in greater upload and download speeds.

Furthermore, we will be reorganizing some equipment in our facility. This may result in dedicated server and co-location customers’ servers being powered off in order to move them between racks. Downtime for any given server should not exceed 15 minutes.

We will also be upgrading the internal DNS system used by shared hosting accounts. This will be done during the same maintenance periods listed above, however this upgrade will be transparent to customers. This upgrade will allow us to build new DNS related features into NetAdmin. More details on this upgrade will follow in the coming weeks.

Please note that our pager system will be taken offline during the abovementioned maintenance windows. If you need to file an urgent support request during these time periods, it should be sent via the standard support channels.

Should you have any questions regarding this maintenance, please direct your questions/concerns to one of the following addresses:

shared@site5.com :: Shared hosting customers
reseller@site5.com :: Resellers
dedicated@site5.com :: Dedicated server/co-location customers
management@site5.com :: For feedback or suggestions regarding any of our services

Please do not reply to this email.

As always we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our services.

Regards,

Todd Mitchell
Vice President, Corporate Operations
Site5 Internet Solutions, Inc.
