Hi,
I'm looking for a hosting environment where I can host an LDAP server, amongst other things.

First of all, do virtual accounts even allow this, and am I better off going with a dedicated server? What types of scenarios allow such a thing?

(Note that this isn't an explicit webhosting request, but please let me know if that would be a more appropriate forum)

LDAP server uses a lot of resources...also most hosts will not allow you to run such services.
