How is this guarantee achieved? Some kind of throttling where you put 100 users on a 100 mbps and allow them bursts depending on whats available in the combined pipe? What is the realistic average bandwidth over a week or a month? 2 mbps? 3 mbps or 4 mbps even? Also do you accept web proxies?

we have something that can set a specific burst for each customers. as for web proxies, as long as it does not constant burst, we dont mind

I there a restriction on local/domestic bandwidth, or just on International bandwidth?

what you mean of restriction? both the local and internation is using the shared 100mbps pool

Let me rephrase...

Some providers in Asian countries have seperate connectivity for domestic traffic and international traffic. In many cases it is possible to get an entire 100Mbit of throughput to for domestic traffic, but the practical speeds of shared International traffic are about 1Mbit/s or less. Is your network setup so that domestic traffic is routed to an exchange seperately from your international traffic? If so, what are the types of speeds that a person could reasonably expect to get for traffic that goes to clients who are located in Singapore. OR...am I understanding that you have a 100Mbit connection for your rack that both domestic and international traffic uses?

I am looking for a server in Singapore that has great connectivity at fast speeds to local users and am ok with limited international connectivity (for monitoring and uploading content)...do you offer a solution for that?

Our connection is for both domestic/local and International. We didnt seperate out the local or international connectivity.

Our connection is full 100Mbps connection local/International. This means user at local and international can reach my network at maximum 100Mbps.
We have user at Los Angeles (US) with 100Mbps connection FTP to our server and the maximum sustain transfer is exceeding 50Mbps during our testing.

This doesn't means you will be able to reach the same speed. It will depends on the internet connection at your location and the bandwidth package you have subscribe with us.

For example:

Our customer subscribe 1 x Dedicated Server with 1Mbps Guaranteed Bandwidth burstable to 100Mbps.
We will be guarantee minimum he can reach 1Mbps at all time, assume on his end, he is using a Internet connection with at least 1Mbps.

If there is 2 customer in our network with the same package, this means, we will guarantee the 2 customer minimum 1Mbps for each, and 2 of them is sharing the 100Mbps burstable speed. If one of them burst to 60Mbps, the other user may only burst to 38Mbps.(This is theoritical number, as the actual data transfer speed will be vary depends on your software application and the network protocol overhead)

Most ADSL broadband provider network service level is only based on best effort, thus this do not means you using a 1Mbps ADSL connection, you can reach full 1Mbps at all time, and even you can reach 1Mbps, you also need to take into consideration that your local ISP local and international link capacity. if you are located at Malaysia and your ISP international link is congested, you will also not be able to reach 1Mbps to our server, even we guarantee you 1Mbps and your Malaysia ISP provide you 1Mbps ADSL.
